*Don't limit yourself, live your best life! Or unlife. As it be. The difference is mostly the breathing, you know? You don't have to smell really gross stuff as much anymore because you don't need to breathe in unless you talk. But then again some people can achieve a better sense of scent and then talking in smelly areas becomes really unpleasant and now if you don't think that's a problem then I don't know what your priorities are.

"It's me," Max says as he knocks on the door. "Can I come in? I wanted to talk to you about something."

He needed a minute to get to his usual perch, the armchairs by the empty fireplace, but now that he's settled he calls the human in. This time, he does not gesture for the other armchair, instead just indicating the key that, as before, sits in the lock on the inside. "Lock the door."
He's secretly pleased that Max came, even though he won't show it. He gave him this much time before he demanded that the man explain his defiance because he wanted to test him, see if he would seek him out in a timely manner to address it - and Max passed the test. Now they'll have to see if he passes the other one and can explain the defiance to the vampire's satisfaction.

"It's about before, with Lucas. I'm sorry I had to take that tone. But there's something you should know."

[Not here]
Hey, Jackie~
Just wanted to say thank you and sorry for the weekend. It was hot as hell, but I know I was kind of dumb. Thanks for looking after me, I owe you (another!) one!
I was thinking of doing this anyway, but it made me get my arse in gear: here's a proper kink list for you. I wasn't particularly detailed the other day, so I tried to be more so here. Obviously we can talk about it any time, but it's nice to have things written down for references. If anything major changes I'll let you know.
Also, cuz I figure you'll be as excited about this as I am, I have a shower in my room now! If you ever want me to fuck off so you can use it in private, you just have to say. I can make up a key for you so you can use it while I'm out and lock the door behind you if you want (we can check sometime if the door will open when there's a key in it from the inside so I can't accidentally walk in on you). Just let me know! Heaven knows I owe you enough favours!
See you around
~Rowan
video;
Not something he ever had, really. It was always more tailored talks ahead of time and strategic use of safewords or similar methods.
Not that this is necessarily a bad idea. It's just not a thing he's made for himself before.
A few days later, though - and this happens to be after Rowan and Max have had their conversation - he'll call the Brit:]
Hey, I've been thinking about your list. Are you up to meeting sometime and talking it over?
Video
I got a couple of hours before I need to go out to work, are you free to drop over now?

Action
Max has a few things to tell Jackie. He's been distant lately, distracted by the new levels his romances with Rowan and Lucas have reached and by all the interesting (and also terrifying) events that have transpired. He probably should have shown up at Jackie's door much sooner. But he'd put it off... And put it off. And now...
He knocks lightly on his Master's door. "Jackie? May I come in? I have something I need to tell you."
A lot of somethings, actually. Where to begin?
Re: Action
Choices, choices. You can absolutely get lost in them.
Which they kind of did. They barely remembered to eat. Luckily, these days, they have a snack at hand, so that wasn't as much of an issue as it could have become, but - right. Snack. Who's outside the door.
They get up to head over to the front door, spot Max, and immediately take his arm and pull him inside, gesturing at the chairs at the basins for washing hair. "Now as you can see, this black is atrocious. But should I go for a red or rather a green hue to replace it? Any thoughts?"
Something to tell them in a moment. They need to get his input on this one thing first.
Re: Action
Max had psyched himself up so hard for this and now Jackie has thrown him for a loop with this question. He takes a moment to ponder it, hoping he won't lose his nerve now like he's done all the times before when he'd reported for 'snack' duty without confessing what he's been getting up to. But delaying it any longer will only mean Jackie gets more pissed.
"Oh. Mm. I'm not sure red is the right color for that. Some people might find it intimidating." Red being the color of blood and all. "You want people relaxed when they sit down for it, right?"

So in the end, he went for something that he hopes suits Jackie's tastes, and if not has more than enough material to be adjusted into something that will suit them more. Inside a beautifully wrapped parcel outside his door, they'll find a tea gown, neatly folded, and underneath a note:]
My dearest Jackie,
Wishing you season's greetings, and a happy new year.
Should it not suit or fit, please take it to a tailor and allow me to cover the adjustments for you.
Yours etc,
Lord Akeldama
action
A couple of nights later, when Akeldama comes through the empty common room in the dead of the night, he'll find Jackie sitting on one of the sofas, doing paperwork and wearing the tea gown. The rest of their style this night has more of a masculine slant, though not to a degree where it would clash with the gown, and the gown clearly remains feminine - it also fits perfectly, Akeldama did eyeball this one well.
They look up when Akeldama comes past and wave over towards him, inviting him to sit down in the armchairs opposite.]

After a moment, he does so, draping himself into the armchair gracefully.]
Evening, darling. I must say, you look even better in that than I hoped. I'm glad it suits.

"Uh, Jackie? Have you got a minute to talk? Privately?"
action
They put down the set of scissors that they were inspecting and wave for Max to follow, not checking if he does before heading upstairs into the studio apartment on the top floor. That's about as private as it gets in this place.

"Jackie, I know you and Lord Akeldama have spoken. And, I know he knows you're my master. You said you wanted me to tell you before I'd let another vampire feed from me. So. I... want to let Lord Akeldama feed from me. Please?"

[Slightly Backdated]
"Jackie?" Max calls into their shop. He's pretty sure he saw them in here just a little while ago.
"I brought you something."
Inside a nicely wrapped package is a large metallic water bottle. The fanciest one he could find. Jackie is human now, and that means they need to stay hydrated.

They look up from where they were preparing the tattoo space for the next patron, and then step away from it to see what Max has brought over. It looks... no, they've got no real idea what might be under that wrapping paper.
no subject
He offers it out to them. "Go ahead and unwrap it."
